Course content is written for this course from Environmental Conservation Law §11-0533, the text of 6 NYCRR Part 197, the NYSDEC and NYSOGA licensed guide exam outline, and the DEC land, hunting, fishing and boating regulations behind them. This site is an independent study aid and is not produced or endorsed by NYSDEC. Always confirm current rules with the DEC licensed guide program page or the Special Licenses Unit (518‑402‑8985).

Your answers, notes and progress stay in this browser. With Pro, they also sync under your license key so they follow you between devices. There are no accounts, no advertising, and no third‑party trackers. To know whether the course is working, this site does count how it is used: a random number this browser invents for itself, which pages were opened, and totals for lessons read, questions answered and quiz scores. No name, no email, no license key, and nothing about individual answers. Browsers that send Global Privacy Control are not counted at all. If you choose to save your progress with an email, that address is stored so your work can follow you between devices, and so we can tell you when the exam or the course changes. It is never sold or shared, one click in any message takes you off the list for good, and the course stays entirely free either way. Feedback you choose to send carries only your message, your optional email, and which page you were on. You can erase everything this course holds, in one click, from the Progress page. · How to use this course
